Happy Monday yāall. Welcome to our new monthly roundup, āthe links.ā
šµļø Another Look
A video for As It Were readers
Thereās so much content to read, watch, and listen to out there. The list grows everyday, but our time to enjoy it doesnāt.
Consciously or unconsciously, there are two questions weāre always asking:
How does this apply to me? and What am I supporting here?
We all wake up thinking about our own set of problemsāthe dog ate your shoes, the faucet is leaking, and youāre trying to eat a little healthier.
If we get our head above water with our own problems, we like to consider our impact on others. This is where you skip the coffee chain and support local.
I try to write this newsletter as a pocket of fresh air in the fray. At a certain point, typing more, louder, and harder works against that goal.
Thatās why in this monthly roundup, Iām going to ease off of creating more. Instead, the last Monday will be a simple experience, curated with material that I think As It Were readers will love.
There are three parts: another look, something to share, and the links. Scroll to the bottom and let me know your thoughts.
š« Something to Share
One thing worth sharing. Could be art, music, businessāespecially when itās independent or by friends.
Blue Hour - Way Out Past the Moon
Blue Hour are a band from my hometown serving up indie folk rock tunes. I havenāt met all of the guys, but Justin and I shared a class or two in high school (shoutout Mrs. Smith).
Check out their live dates if youāre in the Akron area. I canāt wait to catch a show when Iām in town, but in the meantime, Iāll keep humming to the latest EP.
Show Blue Hour some love: Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube
Got something to plug? Feel free to share what youāre working on in the comments.

I like this structure - curious how your followers respond. was also thinking about doing occasional roundups so people could catch up as Iām producing a fair amount of volume in my current project). About to listen to the Nisely podcast - my daughter and I are hoping to be in the same grad school cohort this fall and something like that could be a cool way to decide what we think about the readings :)
